Every file.
Every server.

UCA My Files is the file manager for Android that also opens your servers. Browse your phone, unpack zip, 7z and tar, and work on SFTP, SSH, FTP, SMB and WebDAV - copy between them as if they were one disk.

On your phone

Everything you expect. Nothing you don't.

The everyday file work of a phone, done properly - and quickly.

Storage at a glance

Categories for images, videos, audio, documents, APKs, downloads and archives. A storage analysis shows the biggest files and folders and finds duplicates.

Fast search

Find any file by name across the whole storage - or only in the folder you are in - in a fraction of a second.

Copy, move, rename

Multi-select, cut and paste, rename, new folder, details. Long copies run in the background with progress and can be cancelled.

Trash, not regret

Deleted files go to the trash first and can be restored for 30 days. Emptying it is your decision.

Share and open with

Send files to any app, open them with the app you choose, and share from other apps straight into My Files.

Dark, minimal, quick

The UCA ember look, a calm light theme, or Material You colours from your wallpaper. Smooth, without clutter.

Servers

Your servers, like folders on your phone.

Save a connection once and it sits next to your phone storage. Copy and move between your phone and a server - or from one server to another.

  • SFTP - Over SSH, with a password or a private key (Ed25519, RSA, ECDSA). The server fingerprint is checked the first time and remembered.
  • SSH terminal - A real terminal to the same server: run commands, tail a log, restart a service - with an extra-keys row (Esc, Tab, Ctrl, arrows).
  • FTP / FTPS - Classic FTP and FTP over TLS (explicit and implicit), passive mode, for web hosting and old NAS boxes.
  • SMB 2 / 3 - Windows shares and NAS drives (Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, a Windows PC) on your home network.
  • WebDAV - Nextcloud, ownCloud, a NAS or any WebDAV server, over HTTPS.

Passwords and private keys are encrypted with a key in the Android Keystore. They never leave your phone and never touch our server.

Archives

Zip it. Unzip it. Look inside first.

Open an archive like a folder, take out only what you need, or pack a selection into a new one.

ZIP

Create and extract, including AES-256 password protection.

7z

Extract 7-Zip archives, encrypted ones included.

TAR

tar, tar.gz and tar.xz - the formats your servers use.

Browse

Look inside any archive without extracting it.

Privacy

Your files are none of our business.

My Files never uploads your files, file names or folder lists anywhere except to the servers you connect to yourself. No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.

  • When you open the app it tells us only: a random install id, the app version, the Android version, phone or tablet, and the language - so we know how many people use it.
  • No account needed. A UCA ID is optional - for replies to your messages by email.
  • Delete everything with one tap in Settings > Privacy, or on the web.

FAQ

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases. My Files is part of the UCA family of apps.

Why does it ask for "All files access"?

A file manager has to see and manage all your files - that is what Android's "All files access" permission is for. Without it, My Files can only open the folders you pick one by one.

Where are my server passwords stored?

Only on your phone, encrypted with a key that lives in the Android Keystore. They are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Can it open password-protected archives?

Yes - encrypted zip (AES-256 and the older ZipCrypto) and encrypted 7z. You can also create AES-256 encrypted zips.

Which Android versions are supported?

Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer, on phones, tablets and Chromebooks.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Settings > Message the developer. You can attach diagnostics (app and Android version) if you want, and our answer appears right there in the app.
